Succede solo a Bologna introduces #SocialLiveTour, where you and social media take a leading role in the city.

Social Live Tour (#SocialLiveTour) is a new type of tour organized by Succede solo a Bologna.

To participate, you will need to have a smartphone with Whatsapp.

Characteristics: an hour and a half tour around the city, with a guide explaining the history, monuments, curiosities, and legends of the city.

Why “Social Live”?: during the tour, participants will receive photos and facts corresponding to their position via “Whatsapp” on their smartphone in a “post” of 140 characters to match what the guide is explaining at the moment. On the tour route, there will also be a few spots identified as #SelfiePoint. These are “recommended” places for selfies with a monument/location as explained by the guide.

Why 140 character posts? : by limiting our posts to 140 characters, tourists can easily use social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. allowing anyone to participate “LIVE” through Whatsapp during the tour (providing the possibility to book as a Virtual-participant). Additionally, the ability of each participant to further spread the historical facts in each post ensures that as many people as possible can “fall in love” with Bologna.
